Sherlock fandom still going strong. In 1911.
If your surname is Holmes, you are duty-bound to do this. Sherrinfords, Sigers, Violets and Enolas are also acceptable.
These guys parents are AWESOME.
This fandom really is brilliant.
I was born in 1970 and one of my middle names is Sherlock.
Violet and Enola are nice names.
Older brother was born in 1987, FOUR YEARS after the Fall was published. Younger brother was also born during the Great Hiatus, which means these parents were naming their sons in a time when they believed there would never be another Sherlock Holmes story. EPIC.

Someone needs to check if there was a Dr. John Watson at the same time.
There’s plenty of Dr John Watsons. Lots of Mrs Hudsons. Quite a few James Moriartys (no professors). There is this chap:
John James Watson of the Fifth Northumberland Fusiliers, who sadly died on 30th May 1916 in Flanders.
Sadly there are no ‘Consulting Detectives’ on the 1911 census. I’m disappointed in the Edwardians. There are several (not so) Private Detectives though, including a Stanley John Da Vinci Knowles whose awesome name deserves a mention.
I wonder how many Sherlockians are aware of the popular theory among scholars that Arthur Conan Doyle’s knighthood was a personal bribe from the king of England to return to writing Sherlock Holmes stories after The Final Problem.
every time i get sad i just remember how much sir arthur conan doyle hates sherlock and i laugh for like at least 20 minutes
It’s like he’s the previous reincarnation of Robert Pattinson

I received this through the post today, and I don’t know what’s cuter: The joke, or the fact they went camping together…

This was a little cafe we stumbled across in Whitby.
I dragged my friends in and fangirled all over the place.
The Watson smoothie was delicious.
Honestly, this is the coolest cafe in Britain. We know how to do it up North.
